U.S. Passports to Receive Electronic Identification Chips
The State Department yesterday issued final rules for implanting electronic identification chips into all U.S. passports, despite continuing controversy over the securityof the system and its effects on personal privacy. SAN ANTONIO-SBC Communications Inc., which controls 60 percent of Cingular Wireless L.L.C., said it will adopt the AT&T Inc. brand name following the completion of its $16 billion acquisition of AT&T later this year. SBC said it will use the AT&T brand in a broad array of services offered by its family of companies and that the transition would begin immediately after the acquisition closes. RSI has received Continuing Maintenance Points for several of its online classes. The modules are broken down into multi course segments and are:
# 1-Personal Injury Prevention
# 2-Environmental Hazards Safety
# 3-Safety In The Workplace
# 4-Hazcom Awareness Management
CMP's (Continuing Maintenance Points) are accrued by CIH's and CAIHs who are certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. The ABIH awards continuing maintenance points to materials that have been submitted and approved by their training standards. These points are good for most Professional Continuing Education needs. These courses can be taken at your convenience on your home or work computer.
